Main directions of studying abilities in the framework of integral individuality research

Empirical data analysis is provided that leads to differentiating some basic directions of ability research in Perm Psychological School. The article describes the structure of abilities and its determination my individual traits. It also reveals peculiarities of relation between abilities and pedagogical styles, dynamics of teacher abilities development, the influence of ability level on ability structure, sex and gender differences in abilities, and relation between abilities and level of performance in pedagogical activities.
