The article examines the features of the functioning of agricultural machinery enterprises in modern post-crisis conditions and substantiates the need to improve the use of their economic potential. The essence of economic potential as a category of market economy is characterized, its structural elements are given. Directions for improving the use of subpotentials have been developed, taking into account current trends in their development. The main trends in improving the use of economic potential are the use of innovative mechanisms for the development of agricultural machinery, the digital transformation of all its business processes, the development of public-private partnerships and improving the motivation of various categories of personnel.
