Representatives of different fields of knowledge pay attention to the problems, parameters and criteria for the development of communicative culture. Having analyzed their research, we identified the key approaches: socio-cultural, psychological, anthropological, communicative. The problem of developing communicative culture has always been relevant at all levels of military education. The purpose of the article was to theoretically substantiate approaches to the concept of “communicative culture of an officer” and propose our own special, methodologically sound approach. Through the analysis of dissertation research, a number of approaches to the concept of “communicative culture of an office” were identified. The main approaches in this work for us were professional, psychological, socio-cultural and informational. The article reveals the essence of each approach and their importance for the professional activity of an officer. Based on the fact that the communicative culture of an officer is a non-static phenomenon, dynamically developing, undergoing changes due to various reasons, a new approach to the concept of “communicative culture of an officer” was proposed. This approach defines the communicative culture of an officer as a “smart bridge” and focuses on the ability of an officer not only to transmit information, but also to effectively build communicative bridges between different participants in the process. The key elements of the “smart bridge” were identified, its practical significance and advantages were outlined. In conclusion, it is concluded that understanding the features of the communicative culture of an officer is important for effective leadership, personnel management, successful implementation of combat missions, the formation of a cohesive and motivated team, and the new approach allows us to present the communicative culture of an officer as a tool for achieving these goals.
