The differences in the training of men and women at medium and long distances are insignificant, they are mainly caused by the peculiarities of the female body. The means, forms and principles of training are basically the same for women and men. The biological characteristics of women require even greater caution and gradualness in increasing loads than in training men, especially in strength and jumping exercises. The internal organs of women (heart, lungs, etc.) are smaller in size and weaker in functionality than men. The degree of musculature development in women is also significantly lower. This explains the impossibility of equalizing the amount of work for the development of endurance and strength in equally trained women and men.
