Basic techniques to increase students’ motivation to learn foreign language

Drawing on expertise in this field of pedagogical and psychological researches, the authors consider the basic techniques to increase students’ motivation to learn foreign language. Students will perform best in the foreign language learning when they are well motivated and a teacher can focus on motivating them. In other words, a teacher has to give a positive feedback, to encourage their already present desire to learn rather than tempting them to learn with external rewards. The development and formation of the social and professional competence can be achieved by means of applying techniques stimulating students’ motivation.
