The main trends in the spread of Western theories of higher education in modern China

Education plays a key role in the modern world. The development of international cooperation in this area makes the problem of studying the peculiarities of the development of the scientific and educational environment of universities in different countries more relevant. Higher education, being an important part of the national education system of China, has a great influence on the development of modern Chinese society, acting as the main driving force of the modernization development of the country. It is a multi-level system, which is open to the introduction of the world’s best practices in the field of vocational education, primarily the experience of Western countries. The article highlights the main factors determining the development of higher education in China, characterizes the ways of spreading Western theories in the country concerning various aspects of higher education and assesses the directions of their influence on the universities of the Middle Kingdom. The conclusions of the article can be used to build constructive social interaction between Chinese universities and educational institutions of other countries for the disclosure and formation of internal and external relations of the scientific and educational environment, as well as the identification of innovative technologies for its development
