The main trends in the development of social innovation centers in Russia

The paper dwells upon the study of the development trends of the Social Innovation Centers (SIC) in the Russian Federation, which are leaders in their field of activity. The aim of the work was to systematize the strategic directions of the work of the leading centers, which can become a vector of development of SIC in other regions. This will increase the efficiency of the centers. The leadership is identified on the basis of the system of quality indicators of the SIC activity formed by the author. It was revealed that leading social innovation centers can be found in 10 regions (Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Omsk regions, Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Republic of Mordovia, Krasnoyarsk Territory) and in Moscow. In the course of the study, the author concluded that the development trends of the Centers can be divided into: internal (due to the characteristics of the center itself) and external (due to the nature of the interaction with the external environment).
