The foundations of the historical, cultural and spiritual features of the Russian world in the context of the concept of foreign policy of the Russian Federation

The article examines the historical, cultural and spiritual features of the Russian World in the context of the new Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation, which expresses the historical culmination of the geopolitical and spiritual confrontation between Russia and the «collective» West. The author analyzes the Russian world as a cultural and civilizational community and a spiritual idea, including its moral and religious dimension. Pointing out that, as a complex multidimensional sociocultural concept, the Russian world today does not have an unambiguous definition, the author believes that its substantive core is the idea of salvation as the subject of a new soteriology. The article proves that it is precisely in the idea of Russia's saving mission for the whole world contains the main substantive components of the new Concept of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation, which influence the mechanism for implementing foreign policy, as well as state cultural policy at the present stage.
