The article considers the features of the formation of musical images and their subsequent perception in sound recordings. The research devoted to the process of recording music in the recording studio and considering it as a specific form of music-making has been described. Theodor W. Adorno's theory and Meyer-Denkman's one have been considered. The article will be useful for the sound engineers.
