Adaptation features of orphaned children with mental disorders

ln the results of clinical-dynamic and social-psychological examination of 140 orphaned children (76 boys and 64 girls) raised in foster families and 32 orphaned children raised in an orphanage (21 boys and 11 girls) comparative characteristic of mental disorders was obtained. A high level of significance of three groups of disorders was revealed in a group of children from foster families: speech disorders, combined specific developmental disorders and hyperkinetic disorders. The appliance of qualitative data factor analysis in the study of social-psychological adaptation of orphaned children with mental disorders raised in foster families allowed to distinguish 5 groups of factors. Defined disadaptaion development risk factors in children and awareness of these factors contribution to the analysis of different types of foster families, mental health levels and disorders compose «targets» for medical-therapeutic and preventive measures adoption.
