Features of adaptive response of the respiratory system in people aged 50-65 in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic

The article deals with the analysis of the respiratory function in the changed environmental conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The regime of wearing masks was introduced to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection. Prolonged wearing of respiratory protective equipment may cause slight hypoxia. The respiratory system needs to adapt to these conditions. Two ways of adaptation are identified. One of these methods is less profitable, since it requires additional energy costs.
