Features of the existence of the ideal in the era of post-truth

The article presents the main approaches that offer different interpretations of the terms “post-truth era” and “post-factual politics”, traces their formation and consolidation in scientific and socio-political discourse. The semantic space of these terms is clarified, the correlation with the concept of “bullshit”. The author notes that modern civilization is characterized by the transformation of the system of moral values (in particular, the category of “truth”) and ideals, and points to the reasons that contributed to this. In the context of the post-truth era, which allows for multiple positions, each of which, despite the possible inconsistency, gets the right to exist, the boundaries of truth and truth are blurred. They are transformed into half-truths, and deception has become a habit. In conclusion, the need for further clarification and verification of the terms “post-truth era” and “post-fact politics” is emphasized.
