Features of the digital educational process in modern Russian society

The paper reveals the features of the digitalization of the educational environment in modern Russian society. The relevance of this topic is due to the active dissemination of new digital technologies in the educational environment and enabling successful integration into a single information space, which would allow all participants in the educational process to gain access to the most relevant information and to use the latest information technologies for successful development of profession and the formation of professional competence traded on the labour market. Obtained scientific conclusions: the traditional model of education in the development of innovative technologies inevitably undergoes significant changes. The introduction and use of the ICT complex and smart technologies in the higher education system contributes to the formation of a qualitatively new model of education - the model of smart education. The main factors that set the vector of transformation of the educational process: the digital generation, new information and communication technologies and the development of the digital economy. The results of the transformation of the higher education system in the context of digitalization: changes in the professional practice of teachers, an increase in the importance of student independence in the educational process, changing the educational process towards increasing the structure of the educational process, reducing the duration of training courses, the formation of a modular system of the educational process, an increase in the possibility of academic mobility, an increase in the importance of interactive and multimedia teaching methods.
