Features of flowering and pollination in xanthospermous forms of summer rapeseed

The authors investigated the features of biology of flowering and pollination in xanthospermous forms of summer rapeseed (000-type). They estimated the morphological determinants of flower, potential and actual productivity of xantho- and glaucousspermous forms of summer rapeseed. It was shown, that the flower size in cultivars of xanthospermous forms is greatly smaller than size of flower in glaucousspermous forms and they have greater susceptibility to spontaneous pollination, than the later. The potential and actual seed productivity in xanthospermous rapeseed forms is lower by15 and 30 %, respectively, than in glaucousspermous.
