The article presents an analysis of famous works of landscape painting by Jacob Weber, a succes sor to the traditions of the Wanderers, the only recognized “Honored Artist of the German Volga Region.” The creative style of Jacob Weber has individual characteristics, which are most clearly visible in his canvases with Volga landscapes. The artist’s paintings are distinguished by the optimal distribution of color masses, which indicates the balance and balance of Jacob Weber’s paintings. In the artistic space of his paintings, colorimetric barycenters are located near the geometric center of the work, and the horizon line coincides with the line of the golden section this is how the idea of order in the composition of the canvases is actualized. Based on the colorimetric barycenter method, a model was built that allows one to mathematically assess the level of balance in the artist’s paintings.
