Features of bringing evidentiary information to the attention of jurors

Based on the analysis of examples of judicial practice, the article draws attention to the diverse assessment by the courts of the information presented to jurors in terms of their admissibility and relevance to the actual circumstances of the charge against the defendant. The authors of the work urge, when interpreting parts 7-8 of Article 335 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, to use the criterion of reasonableness more widely and eliminate the formal approach to considering criminal cases with the participation of jurors, in which the legitimate rights and interests of the parties are inevitably unreasonably restricted.
