Peculiarities of prolonged verapamil pharmacokinetics in patients having arterial hypertension in metabolic syndrome

Pharmacokinetic profile of prolonged verapamil in a dose of 240 mg in patients with arterial hypertension in the setting of metabolic syndrome was studied. Twelve females aged 51,1±6,2 years having arterial hypertension of the I-II type entered into the study. Main pharmacokinetic parameters of prolonged verapamil were counted, indirect correlations between effective level of verapamil and waist size, femur size and body mass of the patients were revealed as a result of the studies performed.
