Features of humanities teachers’ ICT competency development in the postgraduate education system of Sumy region

In the article author characterizes forms of professional development aimed at improving the ICT competencies of social sciences and humanities teachers in the postgraduate pedagogical education system, in particular thematic courses, special courses, participation in scientific research. The article presents an analysis of the teachers’ ICT competency structure, the process of its formation in conditions of implementation of the continuing education concept and the reasons of the lack of ICT active use by teachers in their professional activities. This article describes control features of the teacher''s ICT competency formation process in the postgraduate education system. The author describes experience of the implementation of the model of the humanities teachers’ ICT-competencies formation in the Sumy Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education and the creation of teachers’ motivation to use ICT in the educational process.
