Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) has been used to define the fimH virulence gene, encoding the synthesis of type 1 fimbria in clinical uropathogenic strains of E. coli. However, it is demonstrated that the presence of this gene enhances the adhesion activity of the strains and provides activation to the film-formation process under in vitro conditions. It was shown that the pre-treatment of inert surfaces of immunological plates and fragments of urethral catheters at sublethal concentrations of polymer compound - poliazolidinammoniya modified hydrate ions of iodine; block the process of film formation in the early stages of non-specific adhesion.
