The article deals with the problem of the formation of professional motivation of cadets of a military university in the conditions of distance learning. The idea is substantiated that the restrictions caused by the new coronavirus infection stimulated the introduction of distance technologies into the educational process. These innovations in the training of a military specialist have caused certain difficulties in the assimilation of educational material. The article identifies the reasons for the decline in the quality of assimilation of educational content. In order to increase the level of professional motivation of students in the context of the transition to distance learning, it is advisable to use innovative technologies. The author proposes a hypothesis that professional motivation in the system of continuous military education in the context of the transition to distance learning increases with the use of immersive technologies, educational gaming technologies, technologies of the inverted class. The article analyzes innovative technologies used in the study of special disciplines in a military university. Some results of the application of innovative technologies are summed up, which do not contradict with modern researches and are used an addition to the study of the formation of professional motivation of cadets of a military university. The introduction of distance learning into the system of continuous military education requires taking into account the specifics of pedagogical interaction mediated by the use of online technologies.
