The article continues the series of materials devoted to the formation of the discursive readiness of engineering personnel. A stable synergistic-isolationist model of learning a foreign language as proposed assumes a two-phase immersion of students in the sphere of professionally significant communication. The constructs and activators of the learning content are specified, involving discursive layers, their textual content, and some ways of mastering them. The developed model promotes the development of fluency, accuracy of discourse reproduction and meta-textual understanding and discourse mastering. The pre-conditions for the implementation of this model are a high-tech learning environment and continuous discourse teaching improvement.
