Features of the state tariff policy at the present stage

The article examines the priorities of the tariff policy in the Russian Federation at the present stage. Problems and possible solutions are analyzed based on the needs of the economy, the characteristics of the Russian market and foreign experience. Special attention is paid to the development of managerial competencies of decision makers in the field of tariff regulation, taking into account the specifics of regulated industries, market laws, etc. The role of expert assessment of tariff decisions and the possibility of involving representatives of the business community in their development are being studied. The social orientation of tariff regulation is viewed through the prism of balancing the tariff policy of the state, taking into account the interests of the development of industries, increasing their competitiveness, etc. The reasons for the insufficient effectiveness of the tariff policy and the factors contributing to the curbing of technological progress and innovation are investigated.
