Features of civil liability for the commission of land offenses

In this article, the author analyzes the specifics of civil liability for the commission of land offenses. Based on the results of the review, the author provides the following characteristics of civil liability for committing land offenses: a set of coercive measures applied to persons who have committed illegal acts, in particular for violating the land rights of participants in legal relations; restoration and compensatory nature, which implies compensation of losses to the injured party for damage caused as a result of land offenses; regulated by civil and land legislation; applied to individuals and legal entities, as well as public authorities (and their officials) in land plots as natural objects and resources, components of the environment, violations of rights and legitimate interests of citizens; bringing to responsibility is carried out on the basis of: contracts or agreements on the provision of land for rent; acts of a state authority or a local self-government body; agreements on the establishment of an easement in respect of land plots; court decisions.
