Features of civil culture of representatives of different generations (based on the results of a specific sociological study in the Astrakhan region)

In the context of the development of the Russian social system, the analysis of the translation of civic values, orientation and norms is relevant. In this regard, the generational aspect of the formation of civil culture is of particular relevance. This article presents the results of a specific sociological study conducted on a representative sample in the Astrakhan region. The theory of generations N. Howe and W. Strauss was used to determine the age communities. The article describes the value, emotional and behavioral components of the civil culture of three generations - “boomers" (56-75 years old), “X" (36-55 years old) and “Y" (18-35 years old). The author identifies common features and peculiarities of each cohort according to various indicators: value orientations, certain types of “I-identities", assessment of the current situation, current problems and the relevance of certain types of civic activity.
