In this article the current characteristics of the currency market of Russia and its further development prospects are discussed. The role of the Moscow interbank currency exchange, involved in the formation of the exchange rate policy of the country are studied. Conducted detailed analysis of key internal and external factors influencing the situation on the domestic foreign exchange market.
