Features and prospects of employment of graduates of the Russian higher education institutions

The factors affecting modern Russian labour market are investigated, its trends and features are characterized. Special attention is paid to the employment situation of young specialists, graduates of domestic high school, their current professional structure and the planned changes are characterized. The demand structure of the domestic labour market has been determined, the professions that are in demand today and those for which demand is much lower than the offer have been identified. The causes of the existing disproportions are characterized. The characteristic and evaluation of the behaviour of applicants in their choice of future profession are given. The most common causes of unemployment of young specialists are given. Describes the main actions to promote youth employment, applied both at the state level and from various organizations.
