Features and challenges of the Russian Federation president's implementation of powers as a guarantor of constitutional provisions

The article analyzes the fundamentals of the constitutional and legal status of the President of the Russian Federation as a guarantor of the Constitution. The main problems of the implementation by the President of the Russian Federation of his competence in the field of ensuring the provisions of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which establish the foundations for building a system of public authority in the state, are considered. The article describes the features and main trends of the interaction of the President of the Russian Federation with the three branches of government in the aspect of ensuring compliance with the norms of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. A tendency to expand the powers of the head of the state in the field of legislative, executive and judicial power as a result of the significant amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 2020 is noted. It is concluded that the coordinating function of the Russian President is the basis of the modern constitutional order, but the Constitution of the country implies a balance of public powers in accordance with the principle of separation of powers, so the power functions should not be misaligned in any direction.
