Specifics and problems of statistical accounting of crime in the family and household sphere

The article discusses the issues of distinguishing crime in the family and householdsphere into a separate type of crime, as well as issues of statistical accounting of crimes in thisarea. The author notes the absence of a unified classification of crime in criminology. For themost part, modern researchers do not distinguish family and domestic crime as a separate type ofcrime. Due to the relevance and mass nature of crimes in this area, the author proposes to distinguishthis type of crime into a separate type, subject to independent criminological analysis. The author analyzes the official statistics of crime registration, judicial statistics, statistics ofRosstat. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were drawn about the high latency of crimein the field under consideration, and shortcomings were identified in the current system of officialstatistical accounting of crimes. The author proposes to single out crime in the family and householdsphere as a separate type of official statistical accounting of crimes.
