Peculiarities of using Americanisms in modern English

The article deals with the development and functioning of Americanisms in modern English. The author analyzes the process of interaction between the language systems of British and American English, which is directly related to history and culture. Differences between American and British English are revealed. It is noted that today American English is the most used and widespread language, which is a source of borrowings in the lexical systems of other languages, and itself is actively replenished with new words borrowed from other languages.
