Features of using authentic video materials in English lessons to develop student's language skills

This article is devoted to the study of the features of the organization of the educational process in the subject area “English language” with the involvement of authentic audio-visual teaching tools. The purpose of the research is to learn the effectiveness of using this didactic tool in the process of improving the language skills of students. The article substantiates the relevance of using video materials in foreign language lessons, examines their main classifications, provides requirements for the selection of educational material, characterizes the features of work in accordance with a certain level of education, analyzes the pedagogical value of this teaching tool.
