The paper focuses on one of the main problems of modern didactics, namely, the features of training new “digital” generation of students with “file”, “clip” way of thinking. The paper states the key features of modern “digital” generation of students that affect educational process. The necessity of updating the existing system of teaching mathematics at school and, as a consequence, the process of preparation is proved.
