Features of red color in the linguoculturological aspect (on the material of Russian and English languages)

The article examines the features of red in the linguocultural aspect. Color plays a huge role in culture. It can be presented as emotionality, enriched with a variety of associations enshrined in linguistic and sociocultural practice. In color, a person's attitude to the phenomena of the surrounding nature can be expressed. It acts as a meaningful element of culture, with the help of which it is possible to characterize and systematize objects, social attitudes and moral and aesthetic concepts.
