The article analyzes the features of management of social and cultural events in museums in Moscow. The activities of Moscow museums are aimed at generating and transmitting popular knowledge about natural and social development, creating a comfortable environment in the Museum for recuperation and convenient conditions for cultural communication of people, positioning the success, symbols, intellectual potential, and production opportunities of the capital. A certain number of museums organize events aimed at preserving social memory, challenging social reflection, social adaptation, and identifying individuals and social groups. Modern museums in Moscow, in addition to traditional Museum activities, are actively involved in creating non-traditional social and cultural events for museums. It is noted that various Museum services are the leading product. The main strategic goal is for visitors who receive not material goods and services, but aesthetic pleasure from meeting spiritual and cognitive needs, and organizing cultural leisure. The main resources for organizing social and cultural events in the museums of the city of Moscow are objects of cultural, historical and natural heritage, works of art, the results of social and cultural interaction of people - customs, traditions, rituals, rites, cultural events, as well as achievements of science and technology.
