Features of the methodology of modern legal science

This article draws attention to two main methods used in the study of jurisprudence in our time. The relevance of the performed research lies in the significance of reliable results for ongoing legal research. In the course of the comparative study, it was concluded that there is an increasing interest in legal methodology, which is confirmed by many scientific publications and conferences. However, at the same time, considering the topic more deeply, there is an opinion that the ongoing research is more likely to fill the gaps that arose in the theory of methodology in the Soviet era, and proceed from the theory of the only true truth.
