The problems of simulation of distributed information systems are discussed. There are a large number of specialized software systems dedicated to design a simulation model of distributed systems and to run a simulation experiment. The article deals with software and language tools of CAD Triad.Net, considers the main features of the simulation model and how to automate changes during simulation experiment. Among the properties of distributed systems one can emphasizes the properties of scalability and fault tolerance, as a result of which the number of computing nodes of the system being modelling may be changed. Particular attention is paid to the automation of operations to add and remove model objects associated with the calculating nodes.
