The unique features of morphofunctional condition of the heart in premature infants. Literature review

In the present article unique features of morphofunctional condition of the heart, performance of fetal circulation and cardiac manifestations of connective tissue dysplasia in premature infants are highlighted. The role of pulsed wave tissue Doppler in assessment of myocardial function in premature infants is considered. Association of prematurity and low weight at birth and high risk of cardiovascular pathology in children, teenagers and adults is identified.
