Characteristics of morphological changes of liver in patients with overweight and calculous cholecystitis

The morphological changes of liver parenchyma were examined in patients with calculous cholecystitis depending on body weight and the phase of cholecyst inflammation. It was determined that in patients with normal body weight and calculous cholecystitis the inflammation and dystrophic changes of hepatocytes and fibrosis of liver directly depend on degree of cholecyst inflammation. In patients with overweight the pathological liver changes are most evident both in remission and exacerbation of cholecystolithiasis. Therefore the overweight could be the predicted unfavorable factor of postoperative rehabilitation.
