At the present stage of agricultural production, hemp becomes an important not only as a fiber, but also as an oil crop. Creation of hemp hybrid breeding material with high oil content in seeds should be based on the peculiarities of this trait inheritance and the heterosis development. There were observed the following types of the inheritance of oil content in seeds of hybrids: negative partial dominance, incomplete dominance, overdominance and positive partial dominance, complete dominance and overdominance. Hybrids Glesiya x І5 Zolotonoshskaya 15 and І5 Zolotonoshskaya x Glesiya had the highest oil content (39.5 and 39.0 %). There can be recommended for practical breeding crossing of varieties and inbred lines of the middle-Russian and southern ecological and geographical types.
