The dynamic and contradictory development of the world in modern conditions is reflected in the field of vocational education. The importance of knowledge as a global force is undeniable. Globalization “invaded” national education systems, and ambiguity gradually began to appear in assessments of the development of education. Globalization processes are objectively natural, but they do not negate the objectivity of the laws of the sociocultural dynamics of the state and the uniqueness of the organization of its vocational education system. Therefore, states strive to maintain national priorities in education. The ongoing internationalization of higher education, in our opinion, should be a derivative of the international, but not synonymous with the global. At the same time, interna- tionalization, a rather complex process, required, in addition to the native language, the use of an international one, which became English. Under these conditions, the teacher is forced to constantly rebuild the line of his strategic behavior in classes in international groups, taking into account many factors. On the one hand, it should focus on students learning the norms of the classical English lan- guage, on the other hand, it should take into account “as appropriate” the social and organizational component of language learning by students. The learner is an active subject of learning because he is learning to learn. The purpose of the article is to study the possibility of using the potential of intercultural dialogue in educational activities. Research methods - analysis of scientific and scientific-methodological literature, observation, generalization. To successfully teach English in international groups, along with the individual psychological characteristics of each student, it is necessary to know the characteristics of his culture. The attitude towards language learning among representatives of each nationality has its own characteristics. However, no matter what types, forms, techniques and technologies for organizing educational activities the teacher considers for foreign students, creating favorable learning conditions for them, we must not forget about our students and Russian culture, it is necessary to focus on its features and, in particular, the multinationality of the country and the rich palette of colors in the culture of its peoples.
