Features of teaching German as a second foreign language

The paper discusses the basic principles of teaching a second foreign language, as well as their implementation in certain types of speech activity and aspects of language. The author shows the peculiarities of the organization of teaching a second language with specific reference to teaching English after German and the role of a teacher of multilingualism in this process. Actualization of positive transfer and mastery of the principles of removing interlanguage interference will ensure the intensification and, as a result, optimization of the process of teaching a second foreign language. This makes it necessary to develop adequate pedagogical conditions for the organization of educational and cognitive activity of students.
