This article discusses the problem of teaching academic drawing in the conditions of pedagogical higher education institution and especially the implementation of control over the activities of students in the process of training. The main attention is paid to issues of evaluation of activity of the teacher taking into account the specifics of the content, methods and organization of classes of academic drawing. Covers various pedagogical approaches to the implementation of daily academic work. Provides information about the functions of the evaluation activities of the teacher. Is a special system of criteria for evaluating the quality of products of arts students is described in terms of the artistic-pedagogical process of higher education. Methodical recommendations for the optimization of this aspect is systematically organized work on the academic drawing.
