Features of parliamentarism in Russia: constitutional and legal status, competencies and tasks

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the development of parliamentarism inthe Russian Federation. The author notes the specific features of Russian parliamentarism,differentiates the Parliament of the Russian Federation and regional parliaments in the cognitivedimension of both constitutional and public law. The necessity of monitoring the Russian Parliamentas a legislative and representative authority is substantiated. The purpose of the study is to determinethe definitive status of federal and local parliaments, to analyze the ways of development ofparliamentarism in Russia. Methodology. In the course of the research, the results were obtained based on the general scientificdialectical method of cognition, as well as universal scientific methods, methods of system analysis,special legal methods.
