The peculiarities of teaching the formation of IT- competence of regional higher education institution's students

Informatization of higher education is a topical trend in improving university training of future specialists in a regional university, which is impossible without the active use of the achievements of information and communication and digital technologies. The study was carried out as part of the implementation of the competence approach to the educational process. In this article, the informatization of engineering education is considered in the context of using information technology as a means of learning, IT competence as a priority component of professional competence. The article is devoted to the problem of formation of information and communication competence of future specialists as the basis for their preparation for professional activity in new conditions, which largely depends on the level of development of the pedagogical support of the university. In solving this problem, an important place is given to universities that line up the educational process in accordance with regional characteristics, emphasizes the important role of pedagogical support of the above process, carried out by creating conditions conducive to students achieving readiness for professional and personal self-development. It considers the difficulties in developing the content and features of the organization of pedagogical support for the formation of IT competence among students of regional universities, and underlines the inadequacy of research on this topic. The study did not reveal the full potential of pedagogical support for the formation of IT competence of students of a regional university, but represents one of the solutions to this problem.
