The specific of the translation of occasional words in the literary discourse (based on E. Zamyatin’s novel ‘We’ and its translations in English and Spanish)

Dynamic word-formation processes in the language have created the prerequisites for the appearance of occasionalisms. They allow you to designate with a word a more vivid manifestation of feelings, moods, emotions, and introduce new concepts into speech practice. The author focuses on the peculiarities of translating occasional vocabulary into English and Spanish. The article presents a theoretical analysis of the identified problem, characterizes the concept of "occasionalism" and the associated translation difficulties. The purpose of the performed research is to determine the features of the translation of occasionalisms using the example of E. Zamyatin's novel "We". The author comes to the conclusion that the translation of occasional vocabulary depends on how well the translator knows the contextual material and background knowledge.
