Specifics of English color idioms translation

The given article concerns the issues related to the translation of color idioms from English into Russian. The difficulties occurring during translation of this type of idioms are often caused by cultural differences. Polysemy of idioms and stylistic equivalence can also cause such difficulties. The given article describes two major strategies of idiom translation. It also reveals such translation shifts as descriptive translation, analogue translation, and equivalent translation.
