Specific features of the translation of the attributive phrases from Russian into English (based on the scientific technical texts)

The article deals with the attributive phrases used in the scientific technical texts. There is presented the comparative analysis of the structural and semantic peculiarities of the attributive phrases in the Russian and English languages. There are given the ways and examples of the translation of such phrases from Russian into English. The practical material of the research is presented by the monograph of the engineering theme, especially the issues of the cone penetration testing.
