Features of translating cutscenes and gameplay scenes in video games

The article examines main features of translating videogame plot elements in gameplay and pre-recorded cutscenes. The main challenge in translating a videogame is synchronizing the translation with the audiovisual elements. The article analyzes examples from Cyberpunk 2077, Portal 1 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Methods for solving problems that arise during the translation process include the use of special software for automatic synchronization of visual and audio elements of the game.
