Characteristics of cognitive and emotional information translation in English technical texts for education purposes

The ever-accelerating dynamics of new scientific knowledge in the world produces a great number of texts containing information on advanced technologies and engineering solutions. Most of these texts are available in English. New scientific information is adapted and translated into the teaching and learning process at technical universities, including translated textbooks. The article addresses the problem of studying the characteristics of cognitive and emotional information transfer in the process of technical education text translation from English into Russian. To achieve this, the definition of " technical education text " is specified and characteristics of such texts at semantic, syntactic and pragmatic levels of equivalence are considered. The practical novelty of the research results is to develop an algorithm for the translation of cognitive and emotional information in technical education texts, which may be useful for novice translators.
