Peculiarities in translation of metaphors in German fairy tales

This paper analyzes the translation transformations used in the translation of metaphors in fairy tales from German into Russian. The paper examines in detail the peculiarities of national and cultural adaptation in the translation of fairy tales from German into Russian, gives examples and studies the linguistic specificity of the translation transformations. The relevance of the work is determined by the fact that at present the issue of the translation of metaphors in German fairy tales has not received sufficient coverage in the linguistic literature.
