Peculiarities of translating German medical texts

In this article the author exams the process of translation of medical texts from German into Russian and reveals the peculiarities of translation activities in the medical field. The specific nature of medical texts causes difficulties and problems in their translation, which is primarily related to lexico-semantic features of medical terms and texts. Medicine today is one of the most important areas of interaction between countries, and German medicine is considered one of the most advanced in the world, which indicates the relevance of studying the peculiarities of translation of German medical texts.
